As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of digital transformation within the air cargo and logistics industry. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, refine, and implement backend features and system architecture.
- Develop and maintain scalable services using technologies such as Python, Flask, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kubernetes.
- Contribute to a service-oriented architecture with gRPC endpoints and Celery for asynchronous workloads.
- Support continuous deployment pipelines, improve automated testing, monitoring, and observability.
- Work closely with product teams, challenging assumptions and ensuring user-centric solutions.
- Create and extend self-service tools for internal users while supporting hands-on technical needs.
- Share knowledge openly, provide constructive feedback, and step up with leadership qualities when needed.
Requirements
To succeed, you should bring:
- At least 5 years of relevant backend engineering experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with SQL databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of web application architecture and backend system integrations.
- Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, and server-side technologies.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Google Cloud Platform, and service-oriented architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote-first teams.
- Curiosity, a proactive mindset, and a passion for building user-centric solutions.
Nice-to-have: experience in logistics or fintech, hands-on knowledge of Golang or FIX protocol, contributions to documentation best practices, and prior work with AI-assisted development tools.
