The role will be to perform CFD simulations assessments based on client standards and drivers and be able to efficiently communicate these solutions through calculations, technical reports and presentations. The engineer will be required to interface directly with clients, undertake marketing and business development activities where relevant, represent Genesis within industry working groups and also work in a single-discipline supervisory capacity as well as be part of a multi-discipline team.Job PurposeTo lead and coordinate CFD studies assigned to a multidiscipline studies. Be responsible for the CFD content and quality of all work on the project. To assist in the development of proposal work for CFD content of projects.Main AccountabilitiesPerform CFD simulations and assist in the performance of engineering studies. This entails:Running of proprietary software (e.g. CFX) or in-house developed softwarePerforming engineering calculationsProduction of technical notes for reporting of study resultsPresentation of findings to clientsLeading and coordinating discipline personnel assigned to a projectEnsuring that the project scope of work, design basis, philosophies, standards and procedures including QA are known, understood and implemented by the discipline personnel assigned to the projectDirection and monitoring of the execution of work about the content and quality of all documentation within the disciplines scope of workParticipating in all directive activities including preparation and checking documents, specifications, procedures, standards, data sheets etc.Prepare proposalsTraveling as required to support the activities listed aboveTypical background and experience requiredRelevant Engineering degree or equivalentSignificant experience, mostly in the upstream oil & gas businessOil and gas industry backgroundStrong experience conducting CFD studies in CFXKnowledge of thermodynamic fluid properties & phase behaviourKnowledge of design issues for oil and gas processing facilitiesKnowledge of design issues for utilities and support systemsModelling and analysis of steady state for process plantAbility to assess key uncertainties impacting production system developmentGood computer literacy with particular competence in MS Office softwareFull command of the English written and spokenGood discipline and team leadership skillsAnalytical and judgmental skills to find and implement proactive solutionsIt is essential that applicants must have the right to work in the UK.We invite you to get to know more about our company by visiting www.genesisenergies.com and follow us on LinkedIn for company updates.As an equal opportunity employer Technip Energies considers only qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, veteran or marital status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
