Job Title: Senior / Principal Civil Engineer\nDay Rate: £350 - £400 per day (outside IR35)\nLocation: Brighton\nType: 6-month Contract | Full-time | ASAP start\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nThis role will involve the design and upgrading of wastewater treatment works, including:\n\nRefurbishment and maintenance projects\nDesign of new treatment plants\nUpgrades driven by population growth and new regulations (e.g. IED requirements, Final Enforcement Orders)You'll be expected to work independently, applying hands-on expertise to ensure robust and practical engineering solutions.\n\nAbout the Client:\n\nOur client is a specialist consultancy delivering engineering design across the UK utilities sector. They are known for their technical capability, collaborative approach, and commitment to high standards of project delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and deliver wastewater treatment design projects\nUndertake refurb, maintenance, and upgrade designs\nEnsure compliance with regulations and enforcement requirements\nWork independently while contributing to a wider technical team \n\nWhat Our Client is Looking For:\n\nProven hands-on experience in wastewater treatment design\nStrong technical knowledge of refurbishment, upgrades, and new build schemes\nAbility to work independently and manage priorities effectively\nFamiliarity with regulatory drivers such as IED and FEO requirements \n\nWhat Our Client Offers:\n\n6-month contract at £350-£400/day (outside IR35)\nOpportunity to work on essential wastewater infrastructure projects\nSupportive and professional working environment\nASAP start \n\nEligibility:\n\nApplicants must have the right to work in the UK.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value in our company.
