With a strong legacy in the water, environmental and energy sectors, this organisation is now expanding its Belfast presence and seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support major water and wastewater frameworks while helping shape and grow the local team.

Your new role as Senior Civil Engineer
In this role, you will take a lead in the technical delivery of civil engineering designs for water and wastewater projects, from early feasibility through to detailed design and construction support. Alongside technical leadership, you will play an active role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the growth of the Belfast office.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering civil design solutions for water and wastewater treatment, storage, pumping and pipeline infrastructure
  • Producing and reviewing technical reports, drawings, calculations and specifications
  • Leading elements of project delivery, ensuring designs meet industry standards and client expectations
  • Working closely with NI Water account leads and resource managers to build capability within the team
  • Engaging with clients, contractors, regulatory bodies and multidisciplinary teams
  • Supporting sustainability and low-carbon design initiatives within project solutions


    • What you will need to succeed as Senior Civil Engineer

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent)
  • Demonstrable experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects in a consultancy environment
  • Strong technical capability in drainage, hydraulics, pipeline or treatment infrastructure design
  • Experience managing or mentoring junior engineers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
