Overview Are you an experienced Civil Engineer ready to step into a senior role with greater responsibility and influence? We're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our clients growing teams across the South Midlands, contributing to the design and delivery of infrastructure and development projects across the region. Working on commercial projects such as logistics parks, offices, schools etc, this role offers the opportunity to lead on the civil engineering aspects of a wide variety of projects, from site development and highways to drainage and infrastructure design. You will be responsible for technical delivery, client liaison, and guiding junior team members, while playing a key role in shaping the future success of the practice. Responsibilities
Lead the design of civil engineering projects including highways, drainage, earthworks, and utilities Prepare and review design calculations, technical drawings, and reports Manage projects through planning, design, and construction stages Liaise with clients, contractors, local authorities, and stakeholders Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and technicians Ensure designs comply with current legislation, standards, and best practice Support business development and contribute to bids and proposals
About You
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (MEng / BEng) Chartered or Incorporated (CEng / IEng) status with ICE, or working towards it Strong technical expertise in highways, drainage, and general infrastructure design Experienced with relevant design software (e.g., Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, AutoCAD) Track record of successful project delivery in the UK Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions-driven approach
