Overview

Senior Civil Engineer position in our London (Zone 1) office with excellent transport links. The office is within a 10-minute walk of Old Street, Barbican, and Farringdon stations, offering access to Northern, Circle, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Elizabeth Line, and Thameslink services for fast, no-change connections across London and beyond. The role offers a salary up to £58k (depending on experience) with flexible and hybrid working, enhanced Pension, Bonus, and flexible benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Feasibility studies
  • Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements
  • Preparation of contract documents, procurement of contractors and site supervision
  • Project management
  • Design and detailing of works associated with highways (S278, S38, etc.) and drainage agreements
  • Attending client meetings
  • Design and site supervision of highway maintenance schemes

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience within a UK consultancy
  • Working towards chartership
  • Excellent knowledge of British Standards and Eurocodes
  • MEng, BEng, or BSc
  • Detailed design experience in drainage and residential projects
  • Experience using AutoCAD and MicroDrainage
  • Experience writing reports such as Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Statements
  • Experience designing foul and surface water drainage and performing vehicle swept path assessments using AutoTrack
  • Experience using ground modelling software for horizontal/vertical alignment and earthworks
  • Experience negotiating with highway authorities, drainage authorities and the Environment Agency
  • Driving licence
