Requirements : 4+ years' consultancy experience, Civil Engineering degree/HND, strong software skills (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage), knowledge of UK design standards. Job Overview

Undertaking drainage and highway design in line with current UK standards. Preparing and reviewing Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). Delivering Flood Risk Assessments and technical reports. Carrying out earthworks design and site appraisals. Using industry-standard design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/Flow, PDS, Causeway). Liaising with clients, developers, and local authorities to achieve approvals. Supporting junior engineers and contributing to a positive, knowledge-sharing team culture.

Job Requirements

Degree or HND/HNC in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 4 years' consultancy experience in civil engineering design. Strong understanding of UK planning procedures and relevant design codes (DMRB, Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design Guides). Proficiency in technical software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload and deadlines effectively. A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.
