Senior Civil / Structural Engineer – LeedsWe are recruiting for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to join and help grow our client’s Engineering Team based in Leeds.Salary: Competitive package (commensurate with experience)Our client is an award-winning, employee-owned civil, structural, glass and façade engineering consultancy that has been established in the UK for many years.They offer engineering design, building surveying, and expert witness services nationwide through a network of six offices. Working across a range of sectors for both private and public sector clients, they build long-term relationships to deliver schemes from concept through to detailed design and construction phase.As a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer, you will work closely with Directors, Business Development, and Marketing teams to develop business opportunities with new and existing clients. You will meet clients to define scopes of work and develop proposals, while supporting the technical development of junior staff.The Role:Manage a variety of small to medium projects with minimal supervisionLead and grow a team, oversee surveys, design work, technical reports, contract administration, and client liaisonDeliver work to a high standard, on time and within budgetMentor junior team members and support their professional developmentWho We’re Looking For:Ideally Chartered or progressing toward a professional qualification (MRICS, CEng with ICE and/or IStructE)Broad capability in building structures with substantial experienceAbility to manage and mentor multiple team membersExperience in building surveys and structural assessments is beneficialProficient in relevant drawing and design softwareStrong knowledge of relevant legislation and standardsCommercially aware with project management experienceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFamiliar with JCT contracts and Building RegulationsAbout You:Degree-qualified in Building Surveying or a related disciplineStrong track record in project management, surveys, and contract administrationExcellent communication, leadership, and organisational skillsIdeally MRICS (or working towards it)Why Join Us?Our client puts people first – you’ll join a team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous development.
