Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) Accrington / WFH to £70k Are you a Microsoft Azure Cloud specialist looking for an opportunity to progress your career in a senior, hands-on role? You could be joining a scaling UK tech consultancy as a key part of the managed services team. As a Senior Cloud Engineer you will act as the highest point of technical escalation for the diverse client base, taking ownership of the most complex challenges within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365. Beyond reactive support, you will be a technical leader, driving proactive service improvements, performing platform health checks and ensuring client environments are aligned with best practices. As a senior member of the team you'll also help to mentor more junior engineers, provide technical insight during pre-sales engagements for new managed service opportunities and liaise directly with Microsoft and other 3rd party vendors to resolve high priority technical issues.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Accrington office twice a week, please note there will also be occasional trips to visit clients in London and the office is likely to move to Preston in the coming months. You'll be working on a shift based rota including overnight, with changing requirements due to demand. About you: You have experience of working in a 24x7 technical support environment and working with critical customer production systems in a 3rd line support / Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer role You are a specialist with Microsoft Azure You have a strong knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, Virtual Machines, Storage (Blob, Files, Disks), and high availability / disaster recovery solutions including Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery You have a strong knowledge of Cloud security including Microsoft Entra ID, monitoring and governance, threat protection and platform services You're collaborative and pragmatic with great communication and customer service skills You have SC Clearance (or have the ability to achieve it - i.e. you must be a British citizen with the past 5 years continually based in the UK, due to the nature of some public sector clients What's in it for you: As a Senior Cloud Engineer (Microsoft Azure) you will receive a competitive package: Salary to £70k Pension Healthcare Regular social events Hybrid working Career growth opportunities Apply now
