As a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you are recognized as a go-to expert in cloud infrastructure and DevOps, providing guidance, technical leadership, and hands-on expertise to solve unique and complex challenges. You will contribute to the design and implementation of critical cloud solutions, influence internal stakeholders, and contribute to the development of industry-leading best practices. You will help shape infrastructure strategy, drive innovation, and ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of cloud operations. Your decisions will have a long-term impact on the organization, influencing policy, technical direction, and business success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Visionary Guidance & Technical Influence

  • Serve as an internal expert, influencing cloud engineering strategy and advocating for best-in-class DevOps practices.
  • Engages with leadership, validating technical and business decisions related to cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment between infrastructure strategy and broader business goals.
  • 2. Cloud Infrastructure Design & Innovation

  • Engage in the design, collaborating with architecture, and product owners to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure.
  • Solves complex technical challenges, requiring knowledge of organizational objectives.
  • Define and implement next-generation automation strategies, eliminating manual interventions and enhancing efficiency, reliability, and security.
  • Drive the evolution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and cloud-native automation frameworks to enable fully autonomous operations.
  • 3. Reliability, Observability & Performance

  • Establish and oversee advanced observability and monitoring frameworks, ensuring real-time insights, predictive analytics, and system reliability.
  • Identify hidden performance bottlenecks and proactively optimize cloud environments to meet evolving business demands.
  • Define and enforce SRE principles, ensuring infrastructure resilience and reducing operational risk.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity strategies that minimize downtime and ensure long-term stability.
  • 4. Cost Optimization & FinOps Alignment

  • Partner with FinOps teams to implement cost-effective cloud solutions, assuring adherence to budgets and performance requirements.
  • Drive cost governance frameworks, balancing performance, scalability, and financial efficiency.
  • 5. Technical Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

  • Act as a technical mentor and coach, guiding engineers across teams and helping shape future technical leaders.
  • Define and enforce coding, automation, and cloud security standards, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Develop technical tools and methodologies that enhance efficiency and support business-wide objectives.

  • Technical Skills & Experience

  • Programming & Scripting: Strong proficiency in Python, Golang, Bash (or equivalent).
  • Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with public cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) (AWS and Azure also considered).
  • CI/CD & Automation: Advanced expertise in CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions.
  • Containerization & Orchestration: Mastery in Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
  • Observability & Monitoring: In-depth experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and other monitoring tools.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation, and configuration management tools.
  • Security & Compliance: Deep knowledge of DevSecOps principles, cloud security best practices, and governance frameworks.
  • Experience: 8+ years in high-availability, multi-cloud SaaS environments, with a proven track record of leading complex, business-critical projects.
