What You’ll Be Doing
- Carry out routine work with limited supervision and understand safety implications in a high-risk environment
- Liaise/interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manner
- Instruct and mentor less experienced team members within your knowledge and competency
- Research, review and provide feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standard
- Keep full and accurate records of work activities as required by policy, procedure and legislation
- Represent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements
- Deliver assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislation
- Demonstrate awareness of product knowledge
Your Skills And Experiences
- Ability to provide technical knowledge to emergent challenges
- Skilled in the use of Microsoft packages and company-specific software
- Submarine Weapons System knowledge is desirable
- Control of Works and Safe System of Work knowledge
- Testing and commissioning air and fluid pipework systems (air, water); hydraulics and nitrogen experience
- Ability to conduct Mechanical System inspections and approve documentation
- HNC/HND or equivalent in a related discipline or STEM subject

Additional Information
The Commissioning Weapons Test Section Team: you will test mechanical elements of Fluid & Air systems, Nitrogen, Water and Hydraulics, and you will have the opportunity to support at sea trials. This role involves working on Submarine Weapon Systems, a specialist area with unique design and challenges. Relocation support is available across Submarine roles, subject to eligibility criteria. Many roles at BAE Systems involve security and export control restrictions; applicants must meet Baseline Personnel Security Standard at a minimum, with higher levels of National Security Vetting required for some roles.
