---------------------------------------- Senior Control Systems Engineer A growing engineering and technology business based in High Wycombe is seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, research-driven environment developing and supporting bespoke high-tech equipment used in advanced material applications. The role offers a broad range of responsibilities, from maintaining and developing control systems software to supporting production and contributing to R&D initiatives. Key Responsibilities of Senior Control System Engineer: Maintain and update existing PC-based software

Maintain and support PLC software (Mitsubishi preferred)

Assist in the creation of system schematics and interlock designs

Ensure safety and reliability of system controls

Create and manage documentation for all software changes

Provide fault-finding and technical troubleshooting support

Collaborate with the sales team on technical matters

Work alongside test and installation teams to ensure FAT documentation is up to date

Contribute to R&D and new product development activities

Requirements of the Senior Control System Engineer: Degree in engineering or science (or equivalent industry experience)

Experience with industrial control software and electronics

Familiarity with PC software development (VB.net preferred)

PLC programming experience (ideally Mitsubishi)

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Self-motivated with a proactive and positive approach

Desirable Skills: Experience working with scientific or technical instrumentation

PCB design experience
