OverviewSenior Controls & Electrical Design Engineer - ID41415This role is for an experienced Controls & Electrical Design Engineer looking to take ownership of full project lifecycles in a growing high-tech business at the forefront of automation and electrical engineering.What you’ll be doingDesigning and specifying control systems, safety systems, and electrical componentsProgramming PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley / Siemens) for automation machineryCreating schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical (or similar)Commissioning systems on-site in the UK and overseasSupporting machine builds, wiring panels, and carrying out testing proceduresMaintaining and developing existing systems, ensuring quality and reliabilityWhat we’re looking for3+ years’ experience in PLC/HMI programming with strong knowledge of control gear and automationHands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent CAD softwareConfidence in creating electrical panel layouts and wiring plans to EU standardsA logical, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skillsBonus points if you bring experience in robotics, machine vision, or hold a degree in Electrical Engineering.What’s on offerSalary up to £60,000 DOECompany pensionPrivate health insurance25 days annual leave + bank holidaysTraining budget to support career growthFree parkingInclusionWe are committed to inclusive hiringOur recruitment partners and clients believe in equal access to opportunities and building diverse, supportive teams.
