Job Description
We are partnering with a leading asset manager that is significantly expanding its data capabilities and looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer to help lead the development and optimisation of their modern data platform.
This role is ideal for someone with 5–9 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, strong expertise in SQL and Python, and a proven track record of designing scalable, high-quality data products and pipelines across cloud-based environments. You will be comfortable taking ownership of complex data solutions, guiding best practices, and collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and optimisation of end-to-end data solutions using SQL, Python, and robust data transformation practices
Play a key role in transitioning legacy datasets into Snowflake and building scalable, cloud- Python data pipelines that power analytics and reporting
Take ownership of the company’s Snowflake data platform, ensuring performance, reliability, and adherence to best practices in data engineering
Drive improvements across existing SQL processes and C# workflows, ensuring high data quality and operational efficiency
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable and maintainable data products
Contribute to data governance initiatives and platform-wide enhancements as the company’s data ecosystem evolves
We are looking for:
5–9 years of professional experience in data engineering, with strong SQL, Python, and C# skills
Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining complex data pipelines and data products
Solid understanding of cloud-based data platforms, with exposure to Snowflake
Experience working in AWS or other cloud environments
Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and operational best practices
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
