Overview

Senior Design Engineer – Bristol. Salary £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus + Hybrid + EAP + Benefits. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading UK player in its field. You will be working in a high performing Design team, overseeing design projects from concept to completion. This role uses SolidWorks and CFD/FEA is involved.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of pump product lines using SolidWorks.
  • Work as part of a small, collaborative team. Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept to production.
  • Participate in NPD and modification projects.
  • Provide technical leadership within the engineering team.
  • Perform engineering calcs and CFD (computational fluid dynamics).
  • Select appropriate materials for pump construction.
  • Conduct FEA.
  • Develop and execute test plans for prototypes.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards.

Requirements

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Fluid Dynamics; MSc ideal.
  • Experience with 3D modelling software (Inventor or SolidWorks).
  • 5+ years experience within the pump manufacturing industry.
  • Strong experience with CFD and FEA software.
  • CEng status – desirable.
