Senior Design Engineer

The Senior Design Engineer leads a multidisciplinary design team in delivering high-performance heat exchanger systems. As the technical right-hand to the Engineering Manager, this role ensures design quality, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance across the entire product lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design pressure vessels and heat exchangers to ASME, PED, and TEMA standards
• Create and review 3D CAD models, fabrication drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Apply design-for-manufacture principles and support troubleshooting during production
• Conduct mechanical calculations and assist with FEA simulations
• Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory codes
• Maintain and enforce detailed design standards across product types
• Ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing through structured design reviews
• Consider welding sequences, tolerances, and accessibility in designs
• Collaborate with QA/QC teams to define inspection and NDT requirements
• Support the Applications team in R&D and product development activities
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a Product Data Management (PDM) system
• Maintain document control and revision tracking within the PDM
• Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and procurement to streamline release processes
• Integrate PDM systems with ERP for accurate BOM and part number control
