OverviewSenior DevOps Engineer role for a fast-moving IT recruitment client. You will lead the modernization and scaling of infrastructure, report to the Director of DevOps - International, and collaborate with multiple teams to evolve cloud-first DevOps practices. You will lead critical projects, including migrating legacy systems to AWS, optimizing deployment pipelines, and improving incident response. This is a hands-on position for someone who solves complex problems, guides architecture, mentors others, and builds robust systems at scale.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement scalable, secure infrastructure in AWS.Lead or contribute to migration projects, moving legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.Improve system architecture with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency.Enhance operational visibility through monitoring, logging, and tracing.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards.QualificationsCandidates must have:A bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.At least 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.Deep understanding of Linux systems and distributed architectures.Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, CloudWatch).Experience with containerized workloads in production (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes).Proficiency in scripting or programming (Bash, Python, Go).Extra skills (nice to have)Experience with Java application environments.Knowledge of Cloudflare for DNS, security, and CDN.Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL.Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architectures.Familiarity with observability platforms like Datadog or Splunk.Location and EmploymentLocation: Belfast, Northern Ireland, United KingdomEmployment type: Full-timeSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelHow to applyGet in touch or apply below to find out more. #J-18808-Ljbffr
