Overview

My client in Cambridge is a deep tech scale-up that is really pushing the boundaries!

They are looking to hire an experienced Devops Engineer to provide expertise in automation, HPC infrastructure and tools development. You will be supporting the full range of their expanding engineering teams – Hardware, Software, Optical & Mechanical.

Whilst you will have extensive support from the business and engineering teams, this is a stand-alone, so the ability to be self-sufficient is essential.

Responsibilities

• Experience of devops within hardware/software engineering companies – ideally start-up or scale-up environments with extensive R&D
• In-depth Python development (for automation & tools development)
• CI/CD
• HPC infrastructure
• Linux System Administration
• EDA tools support/admin
• Slurm
• Windows Active directory, Hyper-V
• Network support

This is primarily an on-prem role, however some AWS experience would be useful.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the growth of the organisation and to build their Devops structure from the ground up.

Hybrid role – 2 days per week onsite at their offices in Cambridge.
