With a global presence and a commitment to outstanding service, our client continues to raise the standard for what tailored travel should be.About The RoleThe Senior DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in bridging the gap between development and operations teams, ensuring efficient and reliable delivery of software applications. They are responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools necessary for continuous integration, continuous delivery (CI/CD), and automation of processes. This role requires a deep understanding of both development and operational aspects of software engineering, as well as strong leadership and collaboration skills.As a Senior Developer, you will be involved in:Designing, implementing, and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHubCollaborating with development and operations teams to automate and streamline deployment processesMonitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performanceImplementing and managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or BicepTroubleshooting and resolving issues related to build, deployment, and infrastructureEnsuring security best practices are followed in all DevOps processesContinuously improving and optimizing DevOps processes and toolsProviding support and guidance to development teams on DevOps best practicesCandidate RequirementsEducation to Degree level or higher in a related field, or equivalent experienceMinimum 8-10 years of experience as a DevOps EngineerProven experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure servicesStrong knowledge of cloud architecture and CI/CD tools, especially Azure DevOpsProficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or PythonFamiliarity with containerization technologies like Docker and KubernetesUnderstanding of networking, security, and monitoring in a cloud environmentExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and collaboration skillsAzure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plusExperience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) is desirableKnowledge of Agile methodologies and practicesLocation & Working ArrangementsThis is a full-time role (35 hours per week) based in Manchester or Milton Keynes. Since March 2020, we operate a flexible, hybrid working model, and we will work with you to find the best mix of office and home working. You will report to the Engineering Manager based in Milton Keynes.
