Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a background in complex building services? We’re looking for a senior-level professional to lead the electrical design of advanced, regulated environments including cleanrooms, laboratories, and manufacturing spaces.
The company design's and build's some of the most advanced cleanrooms, laboratories, and sterile manufacturing facilities in the UK and beyond – and we’re looking for someone like you to help lead the way
Working from our Greater Manchester office, you’ll play a key role in the full project lifecycle—from concept through to detailed design and commissioning support—within a multi-disciplinary design and build team.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver detailed electrical designs for:
* Research and QA/QC labs
* Cleanrooms and sterile manufacturing environments
* Pilot and full-scale production facilities
* Produce technical drawings and specifications ready for procurement and installation
* Collaborate with in-house teams and support junior engineers
* Conduct site visits and surveys where required
* Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, health & safety legislation, and ISO 9001 quality standards
* Design and coordinate:
* HV/LV systems, switchboards, and cabling
* Power, lighting, and control systems
* Fire alarms, security, CCTV, access control
* BMS and EMS
* Data/Wi-Fi installations and earthing
* External duct routes and electrical-related civil elements
What We’re Looking For
* HNC or degree in Building Services/Electrical Engineering
* 10+ years of relevant industry experience
* Knowledge of pharmaceutical, life sciences, or healthcare projects
* Proficient in design software such as TRIMBLE or ElecOM (AutoCAD and Revit also advantageous)
* Strong understanding of CDM regulations and design risk assessments
* Experience coordinating turnkey projects across multiple disciplines
