The company specialises in the design and production of complex heavy machinery used across the aviation and transport industries, with a strong focus on innovation, quality, and sustainability.This role is ideally suited to a motivated engineer with strong electrical design skills and experience working on electrified or off-road vehicle systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop electrical schematics, harnesses, and panel layouts in line with industry and legislative standardsProduce technical documentation including design specs, part lists, and maintenance instructionsConduct simulations and technical analysis to validate electrical systems and support component selectionCollaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure designs are accurate and fit for purposeSupport software and control strategy development in coordination with PLC engineersContribute to new product development and the enhancement of existing product rangesEnsure all designs meet internal standards and external regulatory requirementsAssist with testing, validation, and fault-finding during the build processMaintain compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and company health & safety proceduresSkills and Experience RequiredHND or equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or relevant hands-on experience)Recent extended experience in an electrical design roleProficient in using electrical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or EPLANExperience with vehicle electrification or off-road vehicle systems (Desirable)Strong working knowledge of electrical standards and design regulationsAbility to read and produce detailed electrical and technical drawingsExcellent communication, problem-solving and organisational skillsComfortable working independently and as part of a wider engineering teamWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary based on experiencePermanent, full-time position with a growing manufacturing businessOpportunities for career progression and professional developmentSupportive and collaborative team environmentTo speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up-to-date CV via the link provided or contact Ben Picking, Specialist Consultant at MCS Group 028 96 935495Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
