OverviewJoin Kier as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer and play a key role in delivering coordinated, cost-effective building services designs across complex and high-value projects. You'll work collaboratively to shape solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.Location and reportingLocation: BasingstokeBusiness Unit: Kier Mechanical & Electrical (KME)Reporting to: Technical DirectorWorking Hours: Full Time, PermanentWhat will you be doing?Develop detailed electrical designs aligned with project briefs and BSRIA stagesProduce coordinated drawings, specifications, and plant schedulesEnsure compliance with Building Regulations, BREEAM, and SHE policiesSupport inspections, commissioning, and close-out reportingCollaborate with design, commercial, and construction teams to ensure buildability and qualityWhat will we need from you?Strong technical expertise in electrical building services designExperience with design development, cost-effective solutions, and stakeholder engagementAbility to lead and influence within a multidisciplinary teamKnowledge of relevant software and calculation methodsA proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on quality and efficiencyWhy Kier Mechanical & Electrical?KME is a trusted MEP delivery partner within Kier, supporting projects from £5m to £150m across custodial, commercial, health, and science sectors.
