BGEN Ltd is a multidisciplinary design and build contractor. This role is based in Warrington, United Kingdom.

Senior Electrical Engineer role for delivering electrical and instrumentation design services across projects in the water, power & energy, pharmaceutical, nuclear and food & beverage industries. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure electrical designs are integrated into complex, high-impact projects.

What you’ll be doing

  • Provide technical assistance and expertise across a wide range of projects, delivering accurate, efficient, and high-quality Electrical and Instrumentation design services.
  • Generate electrical installation deliverables that meet BS7671 IEE Wiring Regulations and client needs.
  • Help keep projects on time and on budget; manage multiple priorities; produce clear, well-structured documentation in line with quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with design and equipment subcontractors; build strong working relationships and seek improvements in processes.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Process, HVAC and Civil engineers to ensure electrical designs are integrated into projects.

What you’ll bring

  • HNC or Degree in a technical engineering subject, with practical experience delivering electrical installation designs in the water utility sector.
  • Thorough knowledge of IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671 - 18th Edition).
  • Understanding of E&I design best practices and project lifecycle management; experience creating detailed design deliverables, including 2D/3D electrical layouts, containment routing diagrams.
  • Familiar with CDM Regulations 2015, including experience as a Designer.
  • Ability to conduct site surveys and provide construction assistance.
  • Hazardous area design knowledge, including intrinsically safe calculations and hazardous area inspection schedules.
  • Experience of Instrumentation loop diagrams, cable calculations, and communication network diagrams.

  • AutoCAD LT, Relux/Dialux, Trimble (Amtech) Pro Design Suite
  • Microsoft Office
  • Aveva, Navisworks and Revit
