Wood is currently looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our System Integration (SI) team within our Digital Consulting business supporting across our UK projects.

This role is available on a hybrid basis with Tuesdays and Wednesdays to be in one of the following hub office locations: Aberdeen, Glasgow, or Staines.

Applicants must be able to pass HMG Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) check.

The Role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for executing project work according to discipline design instructions, including Wood and client procedures on safety and quality, within budget and schedule targets.

This role involves interfacing with other discipline, client, contractor, and supplier engineers, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and providing technical support based on proven experience.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in electrical system design in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, power, or pharmaceutical projects
• Knowledge of electrical power systems, standards, and electrical engineering software
• Motivated, organized, resourceful, proactive
• Strong interpersonal skills, fluent in English
• Flexible, able to work under pressure, with a positive attitude
• Experience in vendor coordination and design reviews
• Team player with effective collaboration skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with gas transmission systems or G35 review is a plus
• Experience with VSD upgrades is advantageous
• Proven ability to work in fast-paced projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Focused on delivery, organized, and problem-solving skills
