Up to £69 per hour umbrella (Inside IR35) 12 month contract (initially) – Hybrid working (minimum 3 days per week onsite) Overview of Department: The Electrical Systems Group within the Facilities Engineering Department are responsible for providing both technical support and design consultancy on electrical systems and equipment for nuclear and non-nuclear facilities within Devonport Royal Dockyard, and Ministry of Defence (MOD) establishments. As part of this function, they are responsible for providing intelligent customer support to Ministry of Defence (MOD) projects within Devonport Royal Dockyard. The role is predominantly office based but will require site visits across the Devonport site. Job Role and Responsibilities: The primary purpose of the senior electrical design engineer (power) role is to support the Intelligent Customer function for electrical aspects of design projects delivered by subcontractors, on behalf of the MOD. This role ensures that outsourced designs meet technical, regulatory, and business requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
