OverviewFINTEC recruit is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Engineer for an international engineering business based in Glasgow. This is a permanent position, with salary up to £65,000 plus depending on experience, working 37.5 hours per week, early finish on Fridays, plus benefits e.g. private medical care, contributory pension.ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering design input to new systems and products and provide support to the existing product rangeLiaise with internal departments such as sales, supply chain and production to ensure the best technical solution is providedCreation of part numbers and bill of materials and sourcing suitable components and materials when requiredCreation of engineering documentation such as specifications, proposals, assembly instructions, test procedures, certification and reports and checking detailed manufacturing drawings and documentationEnsuring engineering solutions are provided on time and on budget and adhere to engineering and company standards and processesSkills and experienceProven electrical and electronics design skillsSkilled in generating design calculationsExperience programming with Structured Text (ST) and other IEC 61131-3 programming languages in CODESYS platformCompetent in the use of engineering design software tools / CAD packagesKnowledge of design standardsPrevious product design experienceDesign and commissioning of HV and LV electrical systemsDesign of power distribution systemsSpecification, selection, and management of traction battery systems up to capacity 150 kWhGood knowledge of electrical systems design for EMC complianceDemonstrated experience in an electrical engineer or product engineer roleExperience with Product Lifecycle Management system for generating and storage of engineering packagesElectrical and Electronics engineering degree or equivalent industry experienceFamiliar with working to marine/defence standards and Classification Society rulesFull details of the Senior Electrical Project Engineer role is available on application.
