- Support and lead testing activities including test benches, HiL/DiL rigs, and trackside validation
- Work collaboratively with project leads to ensure design meets technical, timing, and budget requirements
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers within the electrical team
- Contribute to system documentation, diagnostics, and fault resolution processes
- Maintain strong supplier relationships and manage external development work where required
- Participate in international travel for testing and development support
Skills & Experience Required -
- Degree-qualified in Electrical, Automotive, or Motorsport Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience developing LV and HV vehicle electrical systems in motorsport or automotive sectors
- Hands-on proficiency in wiring harness design and component integration using CAD tools
- Strong understanding of Li-ion batteries, PMSM motors, and vehicle control networks (e.g., CAN)
- Comfortable supporting test activities at track, lab, or rig level
- Capable of fault-finding and supporting dynamic validation processes
- Familiarity with motorsport data systems (e.g. Atlas, Wintax, Darab)
- Proficient in PC-based engineering tools and reporting
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with a methodical approach to documentation
Preferred Experience -
- Experience in high-performance motorsport environments
- Trackside support exposure and vehicle commissioning background
- Project or team leadership experience desirable but not essential
- Comfortable managing both hands-on engineering and strategic planning
- Interest in contributing to innovative vehicle technologies beyond racing
Why Join?
- Opportunity to join a legendary name in motorsport during a pivotal growth phase
- Shape the future of an evolving engineering function with real technical ownership
- Work alongside a passionate and collaborative team of engineers
- Hybrid working opportunities based at Silverstone
