Job title: Senior Electronics Design Engineer

Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum

Due to ongoing success and development, World Class engineering organization based in Glasgow (Scotland) who are a Global market leaders in sectors for Electronics, Industrial, Instrumentation and many more are now actively seeking to hire for 2 Senior Electronics Design Engineers to join the organisation on a permanent basis. This role is available because of additional work and investment in the coming years for the Glasgow business office and the R&D road map. This Electronics Design Engineering role is ideal for a Senior Electronics Design Engineers or a mid-level Electronics Design Engineer who is looking for career progression, is ready and able to demonstrate their motivations to move to the senior position.

Work arrangement, relocation & sponsorship assistance:

3-4 days working onsite and rest WFH is available. Relocation assistance & Sponsorship is also provided.

Salary:

The salary on offer for the successful Senior Electronics Design Engineer is £40,000-£55,000 per annum.

Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years industry experience
• Experience in the full product design lifecycle from concept
• Experience of board level design and mixed signal electronics
• Experience in microcontroller, mixed analogue and digital circuit designs
• Practical experience in Schematics Capture, Layout and PCB layout knowledge
• Experience with Altium or other PCB design tools.
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485
• Good understanding of Design for test (DFT) & Design Manufacturing (DFM)
• Experience of product compliance & Safety – EMC, LVD, CE Marking
• Debugging, simulation and validation of electronic and system designs
• Experience of creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Electrical / electronic engineering experience in an industrial environment
• Good communication and team work skills

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with PID controlled systems
• Embedded C
• FPGA Development – Verilog
• Microcontrollers – STM32, ARM Cortex Processors
• Product lifecycle management (PLM) software
• Agile Development Experience - SAP, Oracle
• Experience with Toradex based embedded computing modules
• Test equipment development to support production and manufacturing
• Experience of mentoring and coaching junior engineers
