Senior Engineer, Electrical Test Design – Eaton
Join Eaton’s Aerospace division to design and deploy automated electrical testing for aerospace systems. Located in Wimborne, Dorset, Eaton is a global leader in air-to-air refuelling and avionic systems.
What You’ll Do
- Apply aerospace engineering principles to develop LabVIEW automated tests for electronic components, controllers and avionic equipment.
- Perform electrical test tasks from concept through introduction, incorporating safety, value, design for re‑use and configuration management.
- Document technical designs, verification procedures and test product specifications.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams and support the Electrical Test engineering management team.
- Support lifecycle management for the development and validation of electrical test products.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent engineering or science degree.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the engineering or manufacturing industries.
Skills
- A sound understanding of electrical systems and circuit diagrams.
- Proficiency in LabVIEW, MS Office (Word and Excel) and laboratory instruments (DMM, oscilloscope).
- Experience in electrical test hardware design.
- Knowledge of requirements, configuration and health & safety management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to mentor less experienced engineers.
