What you’ll be doing

  • Work as part of an Integrated Development Team to develop and deliver submarine systems/capability.
  • Ensure Product Safety tasking and activities across multiple systems support project milestones through the Engineering Life Cycle.
  • Support Hazard Identification and Analysis studies.
  • Assist with or generate safety reports.
  • Ensure the Integrated Development Team operates within the project Safety Management System.
  • Liaise with other Integrated Development Teams and the Whole Boat Safety Team.

Your skills and experiences

Essential:
  • Product Safety Requirements identification and capture
  • Product Safety hazard identification and analysis using techniques such as FTA, FHA, FSA, ZHA, HAZOP, ASM
  • Delivery of Product Safety cases and management systems
  • Review and appraisal of Product Safety cases, influencing others with constructive feedback
  • Auditing Product Safety management systems, learning, sharing and influencing others with constructive feedback
Desirable:
  • Working towards professional chartership
  • An accomplished engineer with a passion for “things Product Safety”
  • Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve Product Safety benefits
