Job Description

RTL Group is currently supporting a major contractor in their search for two highly skilled senior engineers to work on a major project in London, expected to last 12 months. Reporting to the Senior Agent, you will be responsible for ensuring that the works under your control are delivered to the correct quality, safely, on time, and within budget. You will work collaboratively with the wider project team to achieve successful project outcomes.

What will I be doing?

  1. Supervise the works to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained.
  2. Coordinate with engineers and surveyors to ensure all setting out is correct before work begins, and mentor Junior Engineers as needed.
  3. Ensure all Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) are in place and followed.
  4. Ensure Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and Method and Risk Assessments (MARs) are prepared and adhered to during works.
  5. Work with the discipline Supervisor to identify and prepare plant, labour, and materials in advance.
  6. Review drawings and specifications for errors or omissions and communicate issues via TQ’s.
  7. Maintain project schedule, monitor resources, and record outputs against the plan.
  8. Communicate issues, non-conformances, and contractual correspondence, maintaining comprehensive records.
  9. Keep detailed daily diaries, including changes, variations, and attendance, uploading reports onto BC and providing nightly summaries to the construction manager, senior agent, or works manager.
