What You’ll Be Doing As a Senior Engineer, you will: Lead on all engineering aspects of residential developments, from feasibility and design through to site delivery. Work closely with land, planning, commercial, and construction colleagues to ensure projects are technically sound, commercially viable, and delivered to programme. Manage external consultants, reviewing designs for highways, drainage, utilities, and groundworks. Liaise with local authorities, statutory bodies, and service providers to secure approvals and agreements. Provide engineering input to support land acquisition and planning applications. Oversee multiple sites at once, ensuring technical compliance and resolving engineering challenges effectively. Mentor junior engineers and technicians, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and professional development. What They’re Looking For The business is seeking an experienced engineer with: A background in civil engineering, ideally gained within housebuilding, residential development, or a consultancy supporting the sector. A strong understanding of infrastructure design, including roads, sewers, and utilities. Experience managing external consultants and multiple live projects.
