We are looking for an experienced
Senior Engineer
to join our Team
at an exciting time of growth . Your day to day will include: Preconstruction Support contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis, and recommendations Support contract negotiation, typically in concert with client engineering SMEs, project managers, and legal counsel, including establishment of all GC business terms such as mark-ups, fees, insurance, labour rates, escalation, etc. Coordinate specific engineering programs, such as, but not limited to: Technical due diligence of third-party data centres Third-party data centre auditing program, including scheduling, information collection, and delivery of corresponding audit reports Coordinate constructability review of project documents Assist in identifying, scoping, procurement, and scheduling of all direct vendors and consultants Construction Manage cost / change control, including change order review, negotiation, and recommendations; delay analysis Coordinate value engineering Monitor, track, and analyse project schedule Document control (track and coordinate addenda, bulletins, new drawing sets, clarifications, etc.) Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed and report any issues or gaps Process, track, and report on invoices and payment applications Track all key project documents, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, invoices and payments, lien releases, etc. Coordinate and manage all direct vendors and consultants Ensure all relevant HSE requirements are being followed and report any issues or gaps Close Out / Fit-Up Support the implementation of the close-out strategy Assist with close-out engineering tasks prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance Establish close-out documentation requirements. Collect and track all required documentation, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc. Assist with city and/or authority final inspections and occupancy process Manage punch list, substantial completion, and final completion processes Support engineering teams with negotiation, resolution, and closure of outstanding change orders, quality issues, or disputes Assist in scheduling, coordination, and management of all direct vendors and consultants Requirements: Must have experience in MEP and a design background within data centres. Experience in colocation environments is an advantage. Location: Remote working with travel to sites & Europe required. We'd love to hear from you.
