Senior Environmental Engineer (Refinery & GHG) - Relocate to Saudi Arabia, Permanent Expat Family Relocation Package. Based in Saudi Arabia on a permanent, residential basis.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and support in GHG management activities, including data collection, data analysis, and identifying GHG reduction opportunities.
- Advise on improving GHG emission performance; conduct waste and emission minimization assessments; incorporate circular economy models; set KPIs for flaring, SO2 emissions, and hydrocarbon discharge to marine.
- Apply environmental regulations and standards such as ISO-14001; lead and coordinate environmental teams at operating facilities.
- Monitor environmental performance: air quality, wastewater, water conservation, and waste management.
- Develop, review, and deploy facilities Environmental Management System in alignment with ISO 14001; develop environmental procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct internal or external GHG audits and support facilities for GHG third-party audits.
- Maintain environmental performance benchmarks across oil & gas and refinery operations; stay abreast of international and regional regulations related to emissions and waste management.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including field engineers, executives, and regulatory bodies; analyze complex data sets to derive actionable insights; organize technical exchange workshops; deliver training to refinery personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
- 17 years of experience in oil and gas refineries.
- Knowledge of oil & gas refining industry environmental challenges and risks; familiarity with global/regional environmental policies, regulations, and standards.
- Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) (preferred).
- Expertise in sustainability data, calculation methodologies, and limitations; strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in environmental engineering.
- Familiarity with ISO-14001 Environmental Management System and requirement; experience developing decarbonization roadmaps, GHG emission baselines, and target setting.
- Proficient computer and presentation skills; strong management and coordination abilities; good command of English (verbal and written); ability to work under pressure.
