Job description

List of responsibilities


The Facade Engineer forms part of the engineering team within the global structure of the company andassumes general responsibilities that proactively contribute to the growth of Façade/Structural engineeringcapabilities and all other disciplines across the globe.


This includes responsibility for all design, engineering, documentation, administration and compliance withproject constraints undertaken for Façade and all other disciplines. You will also need to fulfil legal responsibilitiescommensurate with your position.


The following is an overview of the responsibilities and performance standards required of the Façade
Engineer:


Qualifications
Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil / Structural Engineering orMaster's degree in Architecture (or 5-year equivalent)
  • Significant experience working in the construction industry
  • Extensive familiarity with façade systems, façade design, materials and fabrication/manufacture
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to hand sketch for presentation purposes
  • Client and team-focused
  • Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for façades and services
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Be flexible to meet the varied demands of the role
