Senior GCP Cloud Infra Engineer Location: Bristol, Leeds, Halifax, Manchester, Edinburgh, London (last preference) (Hybrid 2 days mandatory in office per week) Job Type: Contracting (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 months (Starting 01st Oct) Job Summary: Join Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Senior GCP Cloud Infra Engineer and play a pivotal role in enabling seamless Google Cloud adoption for leading clients within the BFSI sector. You will work on challenging, innovative projects, helping organizations make their cloud journeys secure, reliable, and autonomous while benefiting from a diverse and inclusive work culture. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on GCP Cloud Engineering with a strong GCP DevOps and CI/CD background. Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and proven experience in Terraform / Terraform Cloud . Curate and deliver scalable GCP Cloud Products and Infrastructure as code. Build automated workflows using Python scripting . Proficient in Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Container, Istio Service Mesh, Cluster Management . Audit and restructure existing Terraform modules and state files. Migrate legacy configurations into unified, reusable templates. Implement security-focused Terraform modules with embedded guardrails and policy-as-code (e.g., Sentinel, OPA). Enforce GCP Org Policies with constraints like IP restrictions, network policy, access management, encryption, and region control for secure, compliant cloud governance. Implement automation pipelines for infrastructure-as-code deployments and CI/CD integration. Skills, Experience, and Abilities Required: Essential: GCP Cloud Engineering, GCP DevOps & Infra Terraform / Terraform Cloud (IaC) Python Scripting Experience with Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Google Kubernetes (GKE), Container, Istio Service Mesh GCP Organisation Policy, Custom Org Policy (Policy as Code) Sentinel/OPA GCP and Terraform Certified Good to have: experience working in an IDE Platform for Cloud Engineering (e.g., Backstage) Desirable: Senior engineering skills as a GCP Cloud SME with experience as a Technical Consultant in design, architecture, and strategy. Thought leadership in driving innovation and best practices. Strong communicator, collaborator, and leader with experience working with multiple organizational stakeholders.
