KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements are maintained and continually seek ways to improve the site’s approach and performance with respect to HSSE.
  • Lead on process safety studies, particularly HAZOP hazard studies and process hazard reviews. Be an ‘intelligent customer’ (e.g. Human Factors) for such studies and reviews to ensure all needs are met in the most effective and cost efficient manner.
  • Be the face of the company when meeting the Regulatory bodies (HSSE, EA and UU (waste water permit). Be the primary route of contact and maintain proactive and positive communications with Regulators to best manage ERL interests.
  • Maintain and provide leadership of a system of incident reporting, investigation and analysis, ensuring the site investigates and report all near misses, incidents and reportable accidents: internally to relevant persons, and externally to the relevant authorities with a key focus on continually learning and improving from the insight provided.
  • Manage the management of change system, supporting line management as required.
  • Have ownership of the site’s emergency response processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing ongoing development and training for the site to ensure a robust and fit for purpose emergency response capability.

Qualifications

  • Chemical engineering degree is essential
  • Oil&Gas / Chemical / Petrochemical / Offshore
