Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Solihull/Hybrid - 3 days per week on site

We are working with a well-established financial services organisation to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing business where you will play a key role in designing, configuring, and supporting critical infrastructure, ensuring secure and reliable systems that enable business growth.

The Role

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Provide design, configuration, and technical support for the Group's infrastructure.
  • Monitor and maintain systems to ensure reliable, effective, and secure operations.
  • Support projects by offering technical guidance and delivering solutions aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor less experienced team members and share technical expertise.
  • Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues.

Key Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates with strong technical knowledge and proven experience in:

  • Windows Server 2016/2019/2022/2025 (virtual & physical)
  • VMware 7/8 management
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, O365 & Exchange 2016/2019
  • Citrix XenApp 6.5 & 7.6, Intune
  • Firewalls: Checkpoint, Sonicwall, Meraki MX
  • Networking (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS, Cisco, Meraki)
  • Azure (Entra ID, Conditional Access, Identity Governance, Infrastructure deployment & management)
  • Storage management (IBM Flashsystem preferred)
  • Backup technologies (Veeam B&R, Veeam365, IBM tape)
  • PowerShell Scripting

Desirable Qualifications

  • ITIL 4 Foundation
  • Cisco, VMware, or Microsoft certifications
