Overview

Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure Support Engineer - Basingstoke - 3 days a week in the office - £60-65k + benefits. The opportunity is for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with extensive 3rd Line Support skills to join a Basingstoke based organisation undergoing a significant digital transformation programme. The role requires onsite presence in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide 3rd Line Support across the Wintel and Linux Stack
• Design, implement and manage complex hybrid infrastructure solutions
• Manage the cloud infrastructure (mixed environment)
• Help to ensure a proactive service is provided, ensuring high quality systems are in place, working and proactively maintained
• Act as a technical escalation point for the Service Desk Team
• Participate in the on call rota

The Person / Qualifications

• In depth 3rd Line Infrastructure Support background with skills in Windows, Linux and Desktop Operating Systems
• Azure, Active Directory, ADD, M365, EntraID, File Services, DNS, DHCP
• Knowledge of Intune
• Experience in PowerShell scripting
• Ideally some AWS / GCP
• Basic Networking skills - TCP/IP, LAN / WAN, VPN, Routers, Switches and Firewalls

Qualifications such as the AZ104 or AZ900 are a bonus but not necessary, as would an educational qualification in IT (e.g. Degree in Computer Science) and/or ITIL Foundation.
