Senior IT Software Quality Assurance Engineer (hybrid) – Insulet Corporation

Position Overview: This position will be primarily responsible for testing various applications newly developed by the Mobile & Cloud Software Engineering group. The role will be directly involved in building an automation framework for testing the mobile software and cloud-based services, and will eventually develop automated tests in conjunction with development efforts.

Responsibilities

• Build test frameworks and methodologies that define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
• Develop and execute test suites for Android mobile applications.
• Develop and execute test suites for cloud-based web service applications.
• Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
• Develop and maintain a test database for automated validation tests of software revisions.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, and IT teams.
• Participate in product design reviews.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education And Experience

• B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a similar field; demonstrated experience in software design and software testing; hands-on experience testing web-based and mobile software applications.

Preferred Skills And Competencies

• Strong software skills, including Java, JUnit or TestNG.
• Deep knowledge of the Android technology stack.
• Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, REST, SOA.
• Proficiency with source control, continuous integration, and testing methods (e.g., Git, Perforce).
• Familiarity with Continuous Build Systems such as Jenkins or Bamboo.
• In-depth knowledge of software testing methodology, test development, and test execution.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA regulations and international standards applicable to medical device software development, verification and validation is a plus.

Physical Requirements

Note: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from Insulet's London office at least three (3) days per week.
