Position Overview

This position will be primarily responsible in testing various applications newly developed by the Mobile & Cloud Software Engineering group. The position will be directly involved in building automation framework for testing the mobile software and cloud based services. This position will eventually be developing automated tests in conjunction with the development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Build test frameworks and methodologies that will define the testing process used as part of the agile software development process.
  • Develop and execute test suite for Android mobile application
  • Develop and execute test suite for Cloud based web service application
  • Work closely with the software development team to identify and correct defects.
  • Develop and maintain test database for automated validation test of software revisions.
  • Collaborate with Development, QA and IT teams
  • Participate in product design reviews.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Education and Experience

BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar field; demonstrated experience in software design and software testing; hands on experience in testing web based and mobile software applications.

Preferred Skills and Competencies

  • Manual Testing Expertise: Deep experience in testing Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud), web, and mobile platforms
  • Salesforce Architecture Knowledge: Familiarity with both Classic and Lightning components
  • Cross-Platform Testing: Experience across iOS, Android, Windows, and major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge)
  • Integration Testing: Experience to testing Salesforce Integration with tools like SAP, Marketing Cloud,etc.
  • Test Management Tools: Proficiency in JIRA, Polarion, TestRail, or similar tools
  • Automation Exposure: While the role is manual-heavy, knowledge of Selenium, Appium, TestNG, and scripting in Java/Python is highly valued
  • Salesforce DX & Apex Testing: These niche skills are increasingly important for hybrid and automation-focused roles
  • Coach other team member: Experience in coaching junior team members.

NOTE: This position is eligible for hybrid working arrangements and requires on-site work from Insulet's London office at least three (3) days per week.
