Job Description:
Role Definition
An Installation Engineer is required as part of the Naval and MarineOperation Team in UK to support our client's activitiesworldwide on different projects and provide technical leadershipwithin the naval and marine operation discipline.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Supporting follow-up, engineering review and monitoring ofcurrently ongoing projects for new floating LNG facilities,FPSO, fixed platforms, pipelines, umbilicals, flexible lines andsubsea structures T&I activities.
- Preparation of T&I Scope of Works, Technical specificationsfor Installation and Pre-commissioning, External Interfaceand Responsibility Matrix, Installation Schedules for fixedplatforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, floaters andsubsea structures installation.
- Identification of marine spread minimum requirements for asuccessful and safe installation of offshore structures.
- Preparation of installation outline procedures to be providedas reference for T&I Tenderers for technical and commercialquotation.
- Monitoring, follow-on and review of execution projectsinstallation engineering.
- Aiding the Company during Technical Clarification meetings,projects HAZID, Offshore Site Queries and OffshoreManagement of Change.
Qualification
- Candidate must have specific skills sets in the offshore installationengineering, in particular relevant to the design and follow-up of installation engineering documentation such as load-out,transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-up of fixedplatforms, sealines, umbilicals, flexible lines, subsea structures andfloaters (FPSO, FLNG, etc...).
- High knowledge in technologies, vessels and equipment used forloading, transportation, installation, pre-commissioning and hook-upof subsea and offshore structures is required.
- Candidate must have high skills and experience on preparation andreview of T&I ITT packages, manage technical clarification withinstallation bidders and preparation of Tender Bidder Evaluations.
- Knowledge of offshore installation international Rules, e.g. DNV,IMCA, etc... as applicable to installation of offshore structures isrequired for this position.
- Significant experience of working on or monitoring of FEED and EPCIof T&I projects and ability to interface with other disciplines such asnaval, structural, construction & commissioning disciplines would bea major advantage for this position.
- Seagoing experience as Installation Contractor Project OperationEngineer and/or Company Representative for the offshoreinstallation and pre-commissioning of fixed platform, sealines,umbilicals, flexible lines, FPSO, FLNG and subsea structures.
- Yard experience in offshore structures preparation for theinstallation, mechanical completion and load-out would be a majoradvantage for this position.
- Experience in active participation on project’s HAZID is required.
- OPITO certified for offshore travel would be preferable.
Conditions
We operate a SmartWorking policy allowing personnel to work for up to 12 working days/month from home or a similar secure location and these 12 days can be available even where personnel are on leave for a portion of the month. As such, typically around 60% of time working remotely is available for individuals who wish to take advantage of this.
