What is the actual job? You will join the building services design team in York as a Mechanical Design Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, specializing in the building services sector.

Responsibilities

  • Work mainly on rail-related schemes, UK and international (Dubai and Europe) projects from York, including potential to contribute to some of the world’s largest rail projects from your home office or their workplace.
  • Operate across all aspects of mechanical building services design.
  • Work within a BIM environment beyond Revit; the team is at the cutting edge of collaborative working.
  • Collaborate with partners professionally while maintaining a relaxed and friendly culture.
  • Engage with sustainability initiatives and building physics interests to influence project outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Building services design specialist; Chartered status is a benefit. If not yet Chartered, on-the-job support is available to help you achieve it.
  • Comfortable in a BIM-enabled environment and able to contribute to projects spanning rail infrastructure.
  • Interest in building physics and sustainability is valued.
