Key Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

Lead the design of customer-specific and mission-critical projects.

Manage and review the work of mechanical design team members.

Support technical strategy and resolve design challenges proactively.

Provide engineering input during installation, commissioning, and problem-solving.

Ensure high-quality, timely, and budget-conscious project delivery.

Develop detailed mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures.

Apply knowledge of motion systems, pneumatic components, bearings, and metal fabrication processes.

Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering.

Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.

Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software and knowledge of SolidWorks PDM Vaults.

Strong understanding of mechanical principles, motion types, pneumatic systems, and metal fabrication.

Ability to assess design feasibility and resolve complex engineering challenges.

Capable of producing operation and maintenance manuals.
