My Client is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in the Water Sector

Out client is looking to strengthen their Engineering team with a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for our Central framework. Based in the North West Office you will ensure that cost effective, technically compliant and buildable solutions are designed, approved and handed over to the construction teams in line with programme expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Produce Outline and Detailed Mechanical Designs which are cost effective and meet the requirements of the client's specifications, and which can be purchased, installed and commissioned effectively
  • Production and Checking of all design deliverables including Specifications, Schedules, Drawings and Calculations
  • Ensure designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations
  • Ensure that standard designs and design practices are utilised wherever possible
  • Delivering the design stage outputs of each project within the agreed timescale and budget
  • Coordinating design outputs across all technical disciplines
  • Preparing monthly project status reports
  • Establish working relationships with construction staff and supply chain representatives to promote buildability and supply chain efficiency in design outputs


    • About The Candidate:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Good experience in Mechanical design in water / process industry
  • Chartered or near chartered in a construction discipline as appropriate to grade
  • Experience in the Water treatment Industry
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety
