What you’ll do

  • Join the building services design team in York as an additional Mechanical Design Engineer or Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, specialising in building services for rail-related projects.
  • Work on rail schemes not only in the UK, but also in projects delivered from York in Dubai and Europe, contributing to large-scale rail initiatives from home or in a relaxed workplace.
  • Be comfortable with all aspects of mechanical building services design and operate within a BIM environment beyond Revit, reflecting the team’s emphasis on collaborative working.
  • Contribute with a professional, credible approach while maintaining a relaxed culture; engage with sustainability-focused work and building physics interests.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Specialist in building services design with experience in rail-related schemes preferred.
  • Chartered status is a benefit; if you plan to pursue it, the company will support you. If not, on-the-job experience is valued.
  • Experience with BIM beyond Revit and a demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, cutting-edge environment.
