Role: Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

Location: Birmingham City Centre

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Overview

This role is within a newly established Birmingham-based MEP design team, part of a wider national 8-office MEP consultancy. The position involves technical design and project delivery, mainly for new-build projects up to RIBA stage 4a, across various sectors. The team is currently engaged in Birmingham's largest Masterplan Project.

You will report directly to the Director and work alongside a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, with opportunities for career progression. The Director is sociable and industry-oriented, encouraging engineers to join networking and industry events.

Responsibilities

• Generate detailed Mechanical Designs and ensure project delivery.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Follow CIBSE guidelines and understand the full design to installation process.
• Manage projects from concept through detailed design to completion.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience in building services.
• Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent (HND/HNC, MSc).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Tas, Hevacomp (desirable).
• Understanding of Mechanical systems and project lifecycle.
• Ability to work in the UK without sponsorship.
