Senior Mechanical Engineer – London (Data Centres)
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a growing team within a leading international engineering and design consultancy, with a strong focus on high-performance building services across mission-critical projects.

Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 + package (depending on experience)
The Role:
You’ll play a key part in delivering innovative mechanical design solutions on technically complex projects, particularly in the data centre and critical infrastructure sector. Key Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design and coordination of medium to large-scale projects from concept through to construction.Develop detailed engineering solutions for HVAC and other mechanical building services systems, ensuring they meet performance, sustainability, and compliance targets.Work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.Carry out technical assessments, calculations, and analysis to support robust design development.Support and mentor junior team members, reviewing work and providing technical guidance.Ensure designs adhere to UK regulations, international standards, and project-specific requirements.Prepare specifications and reports using tools such as Word, Excel, and specialist engineering software.
Job Requirement
Requirements:Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).Previous professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer working on data centres, industrial or similar projects.Familiar with UK building regulations and Standards.Ability to lead packages of work independently while coordinating effectively within a wider team.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Proficiency in design tools and software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and mechanical calculation tools.
