OverviewSenior Mechanical Engineer role at Systems Engineering & Assessment Ltd.What you’ll be doingMechanical Design & Development (80%)Complete engineering designs using SEA approved tools (Solidworks)Understand other SEA tools that support Mechanical content delivery (e.g. Altium, Zuken)Build and test prototype equipment to support project deliveryProduce design documentation, including design specifications, test specifications and any required supporting documents for a Manufacturing Data Pack (MDP)Produce stress calculations to support design work, using a combination of first principles, design codes and FE analysisManage the design Manufacturing Data PackWork with production engineering teams to create & maintain standard operating procedures / build instructions for designed productsSupport SEA products during manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, and through service lifeUnderstand and implement the company’s environmental, health & safety policy by accepting individual responsibility and responsibility for those personnel under their authority, including others who may be affected by the company’s activitiesSupport production tasks where required, including Issue ManagementTechnical Governance (10%)Review and release mechanical design workEnsure MDP is robust and fit for purposeBid & Project Management (10%)Define and agree mechanical work packages (scope, estimates, costs)Define mechanical elements of solutions to support bids and enquiriesIdentify and mitigate technical risksSet a strong personal example regarding all health and safety mattersYour environmentSenior Mechanical Engineer will be based at our Barnstaple site.
