This role involves planning and developing solutions for infrastructure initiatives, providing high-level technical guidance and support for the enterprise network, and mentoring a team of engineers. To succeed, candidates should have extensive experience with enterprise networks and strong project management skills.Responsibilities:Design and implement functional network infrastructure and systems with proper diagrams and documentationAnalyze information demands and functional requirements with internal and external customersApply network security measures and safeguard data, software, and hardwareMonitor network performance and implement necessary improvementsCollaborate with technology suppliers to offer business-focused solutionsProvide technical leadership to deployment and support teamsEnsure stability of the working environment before, during, and after system updatesEstablish and maintain cross-functional connections with corporate and local teamsResolve escalated issues from lower support tiers and support those tiers as neededConfigure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize security and efficiencyUtilize resources to stay informed about new technologiesCollaborate with network architects to design and implement functional networksInstall and configure networking hardwareCreate and implement network security measuresMentor and guide junior Network Engineering staffConduct regular network performance testsDelegate maintenance tasks to junior staffAddress escalated network support issuesDraw up network status reportsBasic QualificationsCollege or University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline or equivalent experience8+ years of high availability, high security, Internet Data Center experience2+ years of public cloud experience preferred but not requiredExperience with automation and deployment frameworks for network servicesStrong documentation skillsDesign and deployment experience with technologies: Cisco, F5, Palo Alto, Windows Server, VMWare, SD-Wan, Network VirtualizationAuthorized to work in the US without sponsorshipPreferred QualificationsStrong organizational and detail-oriented skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsKnowledge of ITSM/ITILProject coordination and management experienceExperience with Cisco OS, FW, Switches, Routers; Palo Alto, FWs; Cisco ACI; F5For more information, visit www.entrust.com.
